Accommodation
Hastings Farm offers members and visitors a range of accommodation options for a restful and enjoyable stay.
The main house is a spacious four-bedroom dwelling with a garden cottage that comfortably sleeps 12 guests making it ideal for larger families or groups.
For those seeking a cosier retreat, Blesbok Cottage provides a warm and inviting space for up to nine guests in its three bedrooms with two bathrooms
Lastly, Duiker Cottage, with its two bedrooms, one bathroom is a perfect haven for a couple or small group accommodating up to four guests.
All the units have a wood-burning stove to keep things cosy when it’s cold, a well-stocked kitchen, and a comfortable lounge. Well-appointed patios at each unit are perfect for braais and entertaining, or quiet hours spent reading or enjoying the birdlife. There is easy access at each unit to large level lawn and garden spaces for children to play.
The Dams
Hastings Farm has nine unique dams, each with its own character and challenges, fed by pristine mountain streams. All are regularly stocked with brown and rainbow trout that feed on the abundant natural insect and amphibian populations and the naturally occurring chubby minnows.
Some of the dams allow anglers to wade into the shallows while others are fished from the sides or from a float tube. All fish very differently.

The Hastings Exclusive
Each year, the tranquil surroundings of Hastings Farm come alive with excitement as it hosts The Hastings Exclusive, a prestigious fishing tournament highly ranked on anglers calendars. .
This event, known for its camaraderie and competitive spirit, draws participants eager to test their skills against both the area’s rich waters and fellow fishing enthusiasts. Teams of 3 anglers get to fish waters spanning various farms in the Upper Dargle area, that are hardly fished and are normally only open to a few owners. The competition is fully catered and a portion of the proceeds helps fund water improvements and stocking.
Beyond the thrill of the catch, The Hastings Exclusive fosters a sense of community, allowing participants to share techniques, stories, and celebrate the joys of fishing in one of South Africa’s most scenic locales.
